Longing for a holiday in Southeast Asia? Then make Indonesia your next destination! Explore the world’s largest archipelago and its mix of cultures and lifestyles, from the spectacular white beaches of Bali to the dense rainforests of Sumatra. Wherever you want to go, we have accommodation in Indonesia to suit you.
Bali is Indonesia’s most popular destination; with its pristine beaches, fine weather and relaxed lifestyle, it’s not hard to see why! Our Bali hotels are perfectly situated for travellers wanting to check out the white sandy beaches, shop up a storm or party until the sun comes up. While the hottest tourist spots are located around the southern areas of Kuta, Seminyak and Legian, areas such as Ubud are worth visiting to explore Bali’s history and culture.
Only 50km east of Bali is Lombok, an island framed by beautiful beaches and Mount Rinjani, a large active volcano that dominates the landscape. Lombok is known as a quieter, unspoiled alternative to Bali; while the island offers many of the same activities like diving and surfing, there are fewer tourists and vehicles in the area. Our Lombok accommodation will also give you the perfect way to explore the many temples and hot springs in the region – wot a great way to relax!
If you want to be inspired by the wonders of the earth, Sumatra is the place to go. This wild and rugged island has a wealth of amazing natural attractions such as lush jungles, volcanic peaks and cool, clear lakes. Sumatra is home to incredible plants including the red, speckled Rafflesia arnoldii, the largest flower in the world and the conical Titan Arum, the tallest flower in the world. A visit to one of Sumatra’s national parks may even bring you face-to-face with native species such as elephants, tigers, orangutans and rhinos.
The daring can head to Java, where climbing active volcanoes has become a hot (no pun intended) tourist activity. Popular areas include Mount Bromo, a volcano in East Java which is surrounded by a nature reserve called “The Sea of Sand” and Mount Merapi, Indonesia’s most active volcano, located between Central Java and Yogyakarta. Speaking of Yogyakarta, this is the perfect place to be if you want to get acquainted with Indonesia’s arts and cultures, with its hub of many arts centres, galleries, markets, craft shops and bazaars. The area is also known for Borobudor, a thousand year-old Buddhist temple. Climb each platform and have a look at the unique architecture of the stone stupas (as well as the amazing view!), or head inside to see over 1,400 panels of historic art.
With so many wonderful experiences, Indonesia is the perfect holiday destination for everyone. So wot are you waiting for? Browse through our list of popular regions and hotels in Indonesia below and don’t forget your flights to Indonesia!
