Kokoda Challenge 2014
The Kokoda Challenge is one of the renowned cross-country team events that offers an amazing and challenging bushwalking track for the participants to finish. With over 96 km of walking courses, including 12 creeks, fire trails and climbing routes, the Kokoda Challenge is one of the most intense and premier sporting events of the Gold Coast.

The Kokoda Challenge track includes some picturesque pathways across the rugged hinterland terrain of the Gold Coast. The walking track also runs across the hinterland and its most amazing rainforest areas, with also a number of rock climbing pathways found in this terrain. Guests interested to take part should know the track and the walking pathways in detail.
The Kokoda Challenge track is quite challenging for the novice hikers. However, a number of inexperienced athletes also excel and win in this premier cross-country team event. Enjoy an amazing bushwalking, mountain climbing and hiking by taking up this challenging walking track.
Despite of the posed challenge, a number of participants come to the Gold Coast exclusively for participating and experiencing this unique bushwalking across some secluded pathways on the hinterland. According to the local residents, the Kokoda Challenge track can be completed within three to twelve days based on your fitness. However, a number of novice hikers are also seen to complete the track within three days.
We recommend participants be fit enough to take up this amazing challenge, as this 96 km hiking trail will also offer you a breathtaking experience when you cross the scenic hill ranges and start taking the hard-hitting bushwalking trails across the Gold Coast hinterland. The hiking course also boasts up to 14 major check points all across the pathway and till the finish line.

The course starts in Mudgeeraba, and follows selected fire trails and paths through Austinville, Springbrook, Numinbah Valley, Beechmont and Clagiraba to the finish line at the Nerang Velodrome.
