Gold Coast Destination guide

Fancy fish and chips on the beach at sunset? Maybe a night of loud music and dancing? Perhaps a thrilling 390ft fall to earth? During a stay on Queensland's Gold Coast, you can pretty much do it all.

With some of Australia's best beaches and most popular surf breaks, the Coast is the perfect place to take that surfing lesson you've always wanted to try, go for a swim or simply sunbake on the beach. And if sand and surf isn't your thing, there are plenty more thrilling activities for you and the whole family.

The Coast's theme parks are legendary. Hold on to your seat at Dreamworld as you take on some of the world's most adrenaline-pumping rides, come face to face with dolphins, penguins and even dinosaurs at Sea World, catch your favourite film characters at Warner Bros. Movie World or cool off while you have fun at Wet'n'Wild Water Park.

The Gold Coast's nightlife and dining options are easily reached from your hotel. Pacific Fair and Robina Town Centre offer a wide variety of retail options. When night comes, Surfers Paradise offers dance clubs, live bands and cocktail bars. And if you feel like something quirky, Infinity, Ripley's Believe It Or Not and Dracula's Cabaret Restaurant all offer experiences that are a little different to the norm.

Once you've done all this, you might feel like enjoying the stillness of nature for a while. Luckily Tamborine Mountain and the walking tracks of Burleigh Heads National Park are only a drive away.
